Dr.Thomas Hiegert（ハイデルベルク大学麻酔科集中治療科）来訪: Visit of Dr. Thomas Hiegert (Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Heidelberg University)

熊本市とドイツのハイデルベルク市は姉妹都市です。交流の一環として, ハイデルベルク大学の麻酔集中治療部のDr.Thomas Hiegertが熊本大学病院手術部・集中治療部に来られました。

手術室では, Minimum Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS), レミマゾラム使用全身麻酔, ICUでは, ARDS患者の呼吸管理, 熱傷患者管理について, そのほか, 医療保険の現状と課題, 麻酔科医の教育体制について様々な意見交換を行いました。

As part of the sister-city exchange between Kumamoto City and Heidelberg, Germany, Dr. Thomas Hiegert from the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Heidelberg University visited the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Kumamoto University Hospital.

In the operating room, discussions covered topics such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS) and total intravenous anesthesia with remimazolam. In the ICU, we exchanged opinions on respiratory management for ARDS patients and the treatment of burn patients. Additionally, we had in-depth discussions on the current state and challenges of medical insurance, as well as the training system for anesthesiologists.
